The second Lone Star Zine fest was held on September 2, 2018, and was a huge success with over 400 attendees, more than 40 exhibitors (including 4 zine libraries), 11 volunteers, 6 fabulous door prizes, 12 zine reading performers, 3 generous sponsors, and 22 individual donors!
Attendees said their favorite things about last year’s Fest were:
- “Seeing all the great creative work in Texas!”
- “…getting to talk to the different artists at each table!”
- “Everyone was so friendly and the environment was so cool! The music was sick. Also tons of stickers!”
Folks said the Fest made them feel:
- “Happy to live in a place where this kind of community can flourish!”
- “Very artistically enriched, it inspired me to make my own Zines!”
- “Proud of all those who found a way to tell their story.”
